Diglipur, located in the northern part of Andaman Group of Islands approx 300 kms from Port Blair city center by road crossing reserved forest and 180 Kms by sea route. Diglipur provides a rare experience to eco-friendly tourists. It is famous for twin Ross & Smith Islands and Saddle Peak National park is the prime attraction.
Ross & Smith known as the twin islands are famous for a narrow sand bar of dazzling white sand connecting the islands. Saddle peak (732 mtr) is the highest point in the Andaman Islands. Evergreen forest, massive trees, colourful chirping birds are unique offerings on the trail to Saddle Peak.

Diglipur is famous for beaches, landscapes, Turtles nesting, marine life, and much more. The Craggy Island across Kalipur beach is a little island known for fishes and corals. Ross and Smith Islands are twin Islands bridged by the pristine white sandy beach that has a swimming pool lagoon on one side and a snorkeling paradise on the other. Mud Volcanoes could be witnessed in the green jungle of Shyamnagar and Diglipur. A trek through the primary jungle leads to Alfred Caves- a cluster of amazing 41 caves. It is a den for swiftlets and fruit-eating bats. Turtles nesting could be seen on the beaches of Kalipur and Ramnagar during December.

How to reach
Diglipur can be reached by a short boat ride from Water Sports Complex. Regular ferries connect the island with Port Blair Marine Park.

Cellular Jail
The Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani located at Port Blair, stood mute witness to the tortures meted out to the freedom fighters, who were incarcerated in this jail. The jail, completed in the year 1906 acquired the name Cellular because it is entirely made up of individual cells for the solitary confinement. The saga of the heroic freedom struggle, brought alive in a moving Son-et-Lumiere, in the Cellular Jail, is very popular among the tourists.
Marina Park and Aquarium
Samudrika Marine Museum is located at Delanipur near Port Blair. It is managed by the Indian Navy. The purpose was to create awareness about the natural resources and aquatic life in the Andaman Islands. Along with this, the museum gives a glance of the social and tribal life in the region.There are five sections that have been created over the years which include geographical information, archaeology, people information, history of Andaman Islands and marine life.Various miniature models of the different islands, the lifestyle of tribes and their pictures depicting their daily life and unknown facts, are displayed in the relevant sections. There are also the rarest of corals, shells and fish that are found in the water and beaches of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.In the Marine Museum there are large tanks which have been simulated with the natural sea water and house a lot of coral reefs and aquatic marine plant life, where some rare corals and animals could be found.
