Sitapur Beach in Andaman Islands
At the tip of the island about 5km from the market lies Sitapur beach or beach No. 5. Also known as the ‘sunrise beach’ it is best situated to enjoy the lovely sunrise early every morning. This postcard perfect serene beach has two curved bays and clear blue waters which tempt one to go for a swim.This beach is prone to high tides and water currents because of the location.
Sitapur Beach is also known as Beach number 5 or Sunrise Beach. It is a stunning stretch of golden sand on Neil Island, set against the azure blue skies and turquoise ocean. The contrast created by the blue waters makes it a mesmerizing attraction. Mostly known for its enchanting golden sunrises and sunsets, it is absolutely safe to swim in. Shaded on the shore by thick palms, it is one of the best places to experience the untouched beauty of the Andamans. However, be prepared as it is an unexplored territory. There are a very few places offering food and drink options and hence you are advised to carry your own. Sitapur Beach can be reached by a Jetty or ferry from Port Blair to Neil Island and lies at a distance of 65 km from Port Blair.

How to reach
The Neil Island which is located at a distance of 67km from Port Blair should be travelled by the waterways to save time. After docking at the Port in the Neil Island, you can look for an auto-rickshaw to the Sitapur Beach Which is situated at a distance of 5km from the main market in the island.Otherwise you can take a casual trek to the spot.

One can reach Elephant beach by small cruise boat from Havelock Jetty in about 40 minutes. By road one can go up to the Forest Camp which is 8 Kms from the Jetty towards Radhanagar side and from there by walk to the Elephant beach which will take another 40 minutes. Private ferry operators organize tours to Elephant beach from Havelock.
Kalapathar Beach
The Kalapathar beach is situated on one corner of Havelock Island. The beach gets its name from the surrounding village called Kalapathar Village and the black rocks (Kalapathar Rocks) that adorn the coastline here.
